Yorkshire Humour on the Rails by Peter KirtonA book by Peter Kirton, born and raised in Normanton. He joined the railways straight from school and continued there for the rest of his working life. Now, retired, he resides in York with his wife Maureen. Peter has published two previous books - "Proceed with Caution" - about his beloved railways and "Normanton Grit, Grime and Courage" - about the town where he was born. Peter is a gentle soul and his sense of humour clearly shows through in his writing.  

 

"Yorkshire Humour on the Rails" is a collection of funny stories from rail workers, past and present, based on his travelling and working on the railways.
